Climate & Travel Season


The Weather during the High-Season months November till April is mostly calm, hot, sunny with a slight sea breeze – in other words: perfect. Rain occurs unregularly and rain showers last maximum one hour. At the beginning and end of this calm weather period smaller storms and bad weather can occur. As the islands are located 60km off the mainland it is recommded to visit the Similans only in good weather conditions and avoid bad weather as well as unenjoyable sea conditions. Local speedboat operators often go in unenjoyable conditions, a visitor should check the current situation, also regarding wave heights, online before making the decision if a speedboat ride in the actual conditions is acceptable for every individual.
